What’s Up with Buy Me a Coffee? ☕️
If you've spent any time in online creative communities, you've probably seen the little coffee cup button. Maybe you've clicked one, maybe you've scrolled past. Either way, I wanted to take a minute to explain why it's here and what it means to me, if it’s new to you.
What is Buy Me a Coffee?
Buy Me a Coffee is a platform that lets people make a small, one-time payment to a creator whose work they've found valuable.
There's no subscription, no commitment, and no algorithm deciding whether your support reaches me. You click, you pay a few dollars, and that's it.
Why ask?
In my life, I’ve benefited enormously from people who shared what they knew openly. Most of what I share here I learned the hard way, and if it saves you some of that trouble, that feels like worth it to me.
That said, creating content takes real time. Writing a thorough tutorial, researching suppliers, testing techniques — none of that is quick. Some want to show their support through financial means, but they’re not ready or have the money to buy one of my products, courses, or workshops. This is an opportunity for them (or you!) to show your appreciation with a small monetary token.
Do you expect everyone to buy you a coffee?
